Industrial odour control and H₂S abatement

Wood vinegar suppresses the sulfur-reducing bacteria behind hydrogen sulfide, which is why it is dosed continuously at wastewater plants, landfills, composting operations and manure lagoons. It is our highest-volume industrial channel: once a site adopts it, the dosing never stops.

CH 02

Natural rubber coagulation

An alternative to formic and acetic acid for coagulating latex into ribbed smoked sheet, with the added benefit of cleaner sheets during smoking. Proven with eucalyptus-derived product. For Brazilian processors the freight from Paraguay is short and the landed cost works against acid parity.

Livestock drinking water, litter and barn treatment

Dosed into drinking water at roughly 1:100 to 1:1000 to support gut microbiota and digestibility, and applied to litter and bedding for odour and ammonia management. Standard practice across Japan, Korea and Southeast Asia, and increasingly specified by feed formulators elsewhere.

Biochar charging and carbon-removal supply

Wood vinegar is the standard liquid for charging biochar before it goes to field. Most biochar producers do not make it, and industrial biochar supply is largely contracted years ahead — so the co-product is exactly what a scaling producer needs, and we can supply both halves from one plant.

Timber treatment and wood finishes

Wood vinegar for treatment lines and wood tar for traditional Stockholm-tar and finish products. With creosote restricted across the EU since 2023 and heading towards a full ban, treaters are actively qualifying bio-based alternatives. Our tar stream is small and commands the highest price per litre of anything we ship.
